Cement built on a welded metal frame finished with red iron oxide to create a weathered look. The blade edge show the corroding seel and slash marks from battles. The rock is painted to a moss grown look and stained from the corroding blade.

To be able to create larger and movable pieces, I needed to develop lightweight cement reinforced with fiberglass.

My first cement piece that took me through the process of creating a cement cast. From clay model, plaster mould and lastly a cement casting was created. Finised is iron oxide patina.

Corinthian Pedestal
Pedestal clay model in progress. Next step is to create a two piece plaster and center mould followed by pouring cement between moulds.
